What is Gerodom and what it is used for
Herodorm contains cinnolazam, a benzodiazepine sleeping drug that has minimal muscle-relaxing and sedative effects. After taking cynolazapam, patients fall asleep more quickly, wake up less frequently at night (for example, with noise) and fall asleep more quickly after awakening. The average duration of sleep increases.
Herodorm is used to treat sleep disorders of different origins that require medication.
2. What you need to know before you take Herodrome
Do not take Herodrome
if you are allergic to cinnolazepam, other benzodiazepines or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
acute alcohol poisoning, sleeping, analgesics, anti-psychoactive drugs (neuroleptics, antidepressants, lithium);
in the event of past or current use of alcohol, drugs or psychotropic drugs and substances.
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Herodrome.
Prior to the use of Gerodorm, potential causes of insomnia (somatic or external) should be removed.
Special care is required if you have any of the following conditions:
myasthenia gravis (chronic progressive muscular disease) impaired hepatic and / or renal function
cardiac or respiratory problems; brain damage.
Special care is also required in adult patients and patients with very poor overall health.
Sensitivity to cynolazam may be particularly increased in adult patients, patients with organic brain damage or breathing disorder.
Drug dependence
Prolonged use of cinnolazam at doses higher than prescribed may develop drug dependence.
Children and adolescents
The safety of use in children has not been established.
Other Drugs and Gerodom
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
The simultaneous intake of Gerodrom with the following drugs potentiates the effect of Herodrome:
antidepressants (especially of the amitriptyline type)
anesthetics or painkillers
medicines against increased blood pressure muscle relaxants
When used concomitantly with opioid-type analgesics, breathing may be inhibited in some cases.
Gerrodorm with alcohol
Alcohol should be avoided during treatment with Gerodorm. Alcohol may potentiate the effect of Gerodom.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or are breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or plan to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Herodorm should not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Driving and using machines
Attention! Taking this medicine can affect machine responsiveness or driving ability!
Because reactivity can be significantly affected at the start of treatment, special caution is required when driving or performing other activity requiring increased concentration and when working with machines.
Herodorm contains lactose.
If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this product.
3. How to take Herodrome
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Your doctor will determine the dose for you according to your needs.
Unless otherwise prescribed, the usual adult dose is 1 tablet per day.
In elderly patients, treatment usually starts with 1/2 tablet.
Careful dosing is also required in patients with liver and kidney disease, as well as in patients with generally poor health.
This medicine is not suitable for prolonged use – more than two weeks, unless specifically prescribed by the doctor. The duration of treatment should be as small as possible.
Discontinuation of treatment with Gerodorm should be done by a physician appointed.
Application method
The tablets should be swallowed whole with a little water approximately 30 minutes before the desired sleep time. Herodorm should not be taken immediately after a heavy meal.
If you take more than the necessary dose of Gerodrom
Symptoms of overdosage by the central nervous system are: dizziness, drowsiness, disturbed balance, disturbed vision, very high doses may fall into very deep sleep or even coma. Consequently, circulatory collapse, respiratory depression, and sometimes paradoxical symptoms such as restlessness and insomnia may develop.
Immediate medical intervention is required.
If you have forgotten to accept Gerodom
Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
If you stop taking Herodrome
Abrupt cessation of treatment may result
Psychic reactions: disturbance of concentration, confusion, depressed mood, changes in motor activity, anxiety.
Paradoxical reactions in the form of delirium states of agitation or confusion are very rare. It is possible partial memory loss (memory holes).
Nervous system reactions: dry mouth, feeling hungry, headache, drowsiness.
In very rare cases, treatment with cynolazapam may be observed. “Remaining Syndrome”, which includes the following symptoms: fatigue with a feeling of fatigue, dizziness, headache and muscle weakness. Usually, patients who are affected by them have a debilitating general state of health or an elderly age.
Sudden discontinuation of treatment may result in some of the following symptoms: irritability, insomnia, anxiety, increased sweating, trembling, increased muscle tone and seizures.
Cardiovascular effects: fainting, dizziness, decreased arterial pressure, accelerated heartbeat.
Gastrointestinal reactions: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
Skin reactions: itching.
How to store Gerodom
Store below 25 ° C. Keep away from light.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

What does Gerodom contain?
The active substance is cinnolazepam. One tablet contains 40 mg of cinnolazepam.
The other ingredients are: lactose, corn starch, gelatin, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, talc.

White, round biconvex tablets scored on one side. The tablet can be divided into two equal doses.
